“Inspired by Bumblebee Jasper, a rare volcanic stone, found in Indonesia is known for its striking bands of black, yellow, and orange. Its intricate swirls resemble the dance of light and dark, as if a miniature volcano opened up within the stone, capturing a moment of transformation frozen in time. Its hues shift and change with varying angles of light, so I tried to capture this by adding in pearlescent pearl acrylics into each piece. This gemstone is more than just a physical object, it’s a metaphor for the intricate dance between light and darkness, transformation and stability, an encapsulation of the universe and its eternal rhythm.”
